Honouring the Goddess Within

It's the first full moon in the Western calendar for 2007. Her Lunar Majesty hangs in the sky, gorgeous and rotund. So I am going to do something tonight that I find really difficult - I am going to Honour the Goddess Within. Self-esteem is a tricky thing, and mine dips quite often. So my New Years resolution is that on the Full Moons I will do something kind or nice for myself.

Of course such 'resolutions' are often dead in the heart by the second or third new moon of the year. Which is sometimes what the more injured of us look for - it's handy sometimes having something to berate yourself for when all else fails. Fortunately I am Pagan being helped to heal by some very good Counselling, so I get two New Years and all the forgiveness I can spare myself. If I fall over I can stand back up and have someone to help recall that I am not bad just because I didn't succeeed with something this time around. I don't always remember, and I can't always find the resources to get past the falling downs, but I try. And that's as good as we ever should ask ourselves to be.

So I'm off now to go colour my hair and help myself feel loved and loveable.

Stay sane people; until you go back into Spirit there's always a new day to start over if you really need to. Special love going out right now to those who need to break old habits in order to be freed people.
